1972 Chevrolet Corvette For Sale
56000 Miles unwarranted.
This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette for sale is a Bowling Green, Kentucky built original V8 manual T Top coupe in truly time warp condition. Built in July 1972 so amongst the last chrome bumper C3 Corvette’s ever built and sold new in California by the well known Corvette dealer Harry Mann, reputedly the largest Corvette dealer in the western USA. This Corvette is outstanding in every aspect and in a condition which can only be described as exceptional, having spent it’s life cosseted by very few owners.
We have a copy of its original California order from 72 the original owner selling the car in 1992, the second owner in Georgia spent many thousands of dollars on restoring and improving the car, we are in possession of a very large history file containing receipts and invoices for parts and works done on the car.
Including a full professional engine rebuild with performance upgrades of new aluminum cylinder heads, cam, pistons, hei ignition, intake manifold, carburetor and new exhaust. All of this done around 12 thousand miles ago?
The Corvette was then sold in 2005 and brought to the UK at that point, it formed part of a private collection and remained on display until recently. The Corvette has just undergone a recommissioning which included rebuilding the carburetor, replacing the braking system, shock absorbers, water pump and wiper system.
This Corvette is incredibly straight and still has all it’s original panels and floor pans, although this Corvette left the factory in Ontario orange it is now finished in our view the best period colour combination of White with Saddle interior. The paint is entirely unmarked.
It has an incredibly nice original bucket seat interior in Saddle and is unmarked, the centre console is in excellent shape, as are the carpets. With great options of Power Windows, Telescopic Tilt Steering, Air Conditioning ( currently not working and untested) and T Tops. The desirable Ralley wheels are in ‘as new’ condition and matching set of B F Goodrich tyre’s have only covered a few thousand miles.
Running its original matching numbers factory 350ci Small Block Chevrolet V8 engine having had a performance rebuild and 4 Speed manual transmission. Power brakes and power steering, power windows and mirrors. The Corvette is an Air Con car from the factory.
This Corvette drives fantastically well and the car has a turn of speed unlike a stock 350 Corvette and is ready to use and will certainly get you noticed at your local cruise or car show
Nice C3’s are becoming hard to find. Cars of this standard are nearly impossible to find outside of private or museum collections.
