This 1970 Ford Mustang Convertible we have for sale is a rare car today, of the 7673 convertibles built in 1970 only a few thousand survive worldwide ! This beautifully restored example was built in Dearborn, Michigan and sold new for export, although we have no information where the car went from new ? it arrived in the UK in 2002 but was not registered here at that time instead finding its way to Ireland, in 2005 it was registered to a gentleman who kept the car until it returned to the UK a few years ago. We have no paperwork from the cars early life which is a shame.

A Marti report shows the car left Dearborn on 20/5/1970 finished in Lime Metallic with a white interior and white power roof a rare combination at the time with only 76 produced and interestingly one of only 30 examples scheduled for export from new !

This Mustang is very straight indeed and appears to still have a number of its original panels but has had both doors and hood replaced during restoration. Finished in Ford Race Red there is no hint of any accident damage found during painting, and it presents fabulously well. The White vinyl power roof was replaced during restoration and is absolutely unmarked, the mechanism was also rebuilt at the same time. The glass was also replaced and is in great condition as is the underneath of the car with new shocks and the power brakes having been rebuilt the suspension is in very good order. 

The White vinyl interior is new as are the contrasting bright red carpets and seat belts, dashpad steering wheel and floormats the entire interior is fantastic All the electrics work as they should as do all the gauges and switchgear, the car has been completely rewired  

The Mustang has a full set of Magnum 500 wheels with decent matching white letter tyres fitted

Running gear is the Legendary 351ci Ford Small Block engine backed up by a rebuilt C4 Automatic transmission. With power steering and brakes. 

The car drives very well indeed and is truly outstanding possibly the best available in Europe would impress at any cruise or car show, indeed at any event
